Nothing is really wrong with my aim, but when I throw the darts they are going way deep into the board. Is this normal? Should I try something different, or just continue to focus on getting better?

Shouldn't really matter unless your are damaging the darts or the board. Throwing really hard probably will wear out the board quicker. Have you tried just not throwing so hard?
