  1. Hi. I have been playing darts on and off for about 2 years, recently in last 6 weeks my darts have started to go in at an angle, which is very off putting when going for 180, not sure why it's started happening, it's almost every darts, it never used to happen..thanks kev

The fix I am aware of is to start with your stance. Weight on the front leg. The back leg is support only. (No movement during your throw.) Pay attention to your toes. As you throw do you notice weight being transmitted to the ball of your foot or your toes? You should not feel your stroke in your legs.   Moving up.  Is your shoulder extended to the board?  Your shoulder, arm, elbow, and hand, should be in a straight line.  (The weight moves to the front leg, but don't lean. Stay solid.)

Your stroke. Do you bring the dart back to the same place every time?  It's not uncommon to bring the dart back and twist the flight slightly to avoid hitting a cheek. This throws the dart off the center line.  People do throw this way, and as long as you are consistent it is possible. But, it sounds as if something has changed in your consistency.

Do you see the dart flying to the board?  Are you losing sight of it at any point during your throw? Are you pulling it back too far? Are you blinking and losing sight of your target? You should be able to see the dart lined up and moving to the target.

Obviously, with a video, it would be easier to see. When things go bad, go back to basics. Go back to the board and work on stance, stroke, and feel. Don't worry about targets until you can feel everything clicking.

There are so many adjustments to make in this damn game. But even with the thousands of adjustments you can possibly make, there is only one thing you need to remember.... "Feel"  Remember what it feels like to throw good darts and work on getting that feeling. Then hit the targets.
